"We abuse the land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see the land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect." Aldo Leopold

Welcome

Libery the Eagle

For over two decades the Institute for Environmental Learning has blended natural history topics with live birds of prey. The goal of our presentations is to elevate people’s awareness and most importantly encourage their participation in conservation efforts.

Golden Eagle - Bron yr aur

Programs are designed for grades pre-k through college level and can be tailored or expanded to fit the requirements of the New York State science syllabus and scout merit badge certification. Eagle scouts also can elect to have a live eagle at their traditional crossover ceremony recognizing the pinnacle of scout achievement. Flight demonstrations, photo opportunities and question and answer periods can also be requested at each visit.

Sunflowers planted for wildlife

As award-winning published naturalists, Paul and Anne bring over four decades of combined professional conservation and education experience to the classroom and outdoor related venues.
